Satellite International (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. is seeking a seasoned energy derivatives trader to develop and execute paper trading strategies for a range of energy products.

The role requires executing trades in futures, swaps, and options in both exchange-traded and OTC markets while monitoring market trends and managing risk within approved limits. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Business or related discipline.
• At least 3 years of energy derivatives trading experience (energy markets such as LPG, LNG, natural gas, crude oil or refined products).
• Good knowledge of energy derivatives: futures, swaps, options, spreads, hedging.
• Practical experience trading derivatives in exchange-traded or OTC markets.
• Strong analytical, quantitative and risk management skills.
• Excellent command of English and Chinese, written and spoken.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute paper trading strategies for energy commodities such as fuel oil, jet fuel, LPG, LNG, crude oil and refined products.


• Execute trades in futures, swaps, options and other derivative instruments in exchange-traded and over-the-counter (OTC) markets.


• Monitor market trends and fundamentals to identify trading opportunities.


• Manage trading positions, market exposure and profit and loss (P&L) within approved risk limits.


• Work with the Risk Management, Finance and Operations teams to support trade processing and settlement.


• Maintain relationships with brokers and counterparties, and perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Business or a related discipline.


• At least 3 years of relevant experience in energy derivatives trading, paper trading or related energy markets, with experience in one or more energy products such as LPG, LNG, natural gas, crude oil or refined products.


• Good knowledge of energy derivatives, including futures, swaps, options, spreads and hedging strategies.


• Practical experience in trading derivative instruments in exchange-traded or OTC markets.


• Strong analytical, quantitative and risk management skills.


• Excellent command of English and Chinese, both written and spoken, as this role requires regular communication with internal and external stakeholders, as well as the preparation and review of bilingual business documents, reports and presentations.
