Employment Support Specialist – Job Coaching (Transition to Employment)

This position is based in Singapore and is full-time.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute as a team player in a multidisciplinary team to plan and deliver employment support services for clients with acquired physical disabilities.
  • Provide personalized job coaching, including pre-employment preparation, on-the-job training, regular goal-setting, and building support networks.
  • Conduct vocational assessments and job exploration activities.
  • Support clients in job search and placement by advocating for their strengths and needs, and engaging with potential employers.
  • Utilize relevant schemes and subsidies to support clients' return-to-work journeys.
  • Coordinate all aspects of job placement, including workplace assessments, employment negotiations, and stakeholder communication.
  • Plan and facilitate group activities to support clients’ employment goals.
  • Take on case management responsibilities on a rotational basis, leading care planning and client progress.
  • Maintain accurate records on client assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Stay informed about local laws and policies related to employment and disability support.
  • Organize outreach activities to engage stakeholders in employment initiatives for persons with disabilities.
  • Monitor program outcomes and provide reports to management.
  • Collaborate with SPD’s Employment Support Programme (ESP) to optimize resources and outcomes.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Programme Head.

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Human Resource Management, or related fields.
  • Advanced Certificate in Supported Employment (ACSE) is an advantage.
  • At least 2 years of experience in relationship management, customer service, career coaching, or vocational counseling preferred.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office, email, and data entry.
  • Understanding of Singapore’s healthcare and social service landscape, with interest or experience in working with persons with disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
