Job summary

ITCAN PTE. LIMITED in Singapore seeks an experienced On-Premises DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain container infrastructure within our on-premises environment.

You will collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless application deployment and efficient management. Responsibilities include building and maintaining Kubernetes clusters, deploying Docker containers, integrating Kafka for real-time data streaming, and implementing IaC with Terraform/Ansible.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing on-premises infrastructure and data centers.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters within on-premises environments to ensure reliable container orchestration.
• Deploy and manage Docker containers for application deployment and lifecycle management on-premises.
• Integrate Kafka to enable event-driven communication and real-time data streaming within on-premises systems.
• Utilize Guacamole to provide secure remote access to on-premises infrastructure for operational efficiency.
• Implement infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to automate on-premises resource provisioning.
• Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) to maintain visibility and operational health of Kubernetes clusters.
• Apply Kubernetes security best practices, including RBAC, network policies, and pod security policies, to safeguard on-premises environments.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in on-premises Kubernetes setups.
• Continuously update knowledge of Kubernetes ecosystem advancements to improve infrastructure management.
• Demonstrate attention to detail in configuring and managing Kubernetes resources to optimize system performance and reliability.
• Proactively identify and resolve potential issues within on-premises systems to minimize downtime and maintain service quality
