Job summary

Apple is seeking a Software Quality/Test Engineer in Emerging Technologies. The role focuses on quality engineering across backend, frontend, and services, with emphasis on automation, scalable testing, and cross-functional collaboration across distributed teams.

The ideal engineer will drive 100% automation, build QE tools, and work on projects involving No-SQL platforms, security systems, ML, and distributed architectures.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software quality engineering or QE roles.
• Experience with Java and related frameworks.
• Experience with relational databases (SQL).
• Proficiency with open-source testing frameworks (Selenium, Gauge, Playwright).
• Linux/Unix environments and REST-based services automation.
• CI/CD pipelines to automate testing; Kubernetes and Docker experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) is a plus.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide API testing, website testing, and iOS app testing plus automation.
• Invent and build QE automation tools and platforms toward 100% automation.
• Build functional testing tools and enhance automation frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan tests and schedules.
• Advocate for quality throughout the product development process.
• Identify gaps in QE processes and propose improvements.
