Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our medical team. The PA will provide high-quality, patient-centered care under the supervision of a licensed physician. This role involves conducting physical exams, diagnosing and treating illnesses, prescribing medications, and assisting in procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct patient examinations, obtain medical histories, and perform physical assessments.
2. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, injuries, and illnesses.
3. Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, lab results, and EKGs.
4. Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
5. Prescribe medications and manage patient medications as appropriate.
6. Assist in surgical procedures or perform minor procedures (e.g., suturing, wound care).
7. Provide patient education on preventative care, medications, and treatment plans.
8. Document patient interactions, progress, and treatments in electronic health records (EHR).
9. Collaborate with healthcare professionals including nurses, specialists, and administrative staff.
10. Maintain current knowledge of medical best practices and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

1. Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
2. Valid Physician Assistant license in [State].
3. Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
4. Current BLS and/or ACLS certification.
5. 13 years of clinical experience preferred (may vary by employer or specialty).
6. Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
