Job summary

Medlink Healthcare Group recruits an Ambulance Driver to operate our ambulances for transporting patients to medical appointments, hospitals, and other facilities. You will respond to emergency and non-emergency cases, assist with patient loading, and maintain ambulance readiness with routine checks.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 3 driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience.
• Experience in defensive driving is highly preferred.
• Certification or experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently drive MHG ambulances to transport patients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, and other facilities.
• Respond promptly to ad-hoc emergency and non-emergency cases as required.
• Assist medical personnel in loading and unloading patients, ensuring comfort and safety during transport.
• Perform routine checks and basic maintenance of the ambulance to ensure good working condition.
• Adhere to traffic laws, safety protocols, and MHG procedures to ensure safety of patients and staff.
• Maintain accurate records of trips and patient information as required by MHG policies.
• Provide basic assistance and support to patients during transport with empathy and professionalism.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills including defensive driving and emergency response.
• Take on secondary appointments or administrative duties as assigned by management.
• Perform other related tasks as required by management.
