Job summary

Meta is seeking Research Scientists to push the frontiers of embodied artificial intelligence, robotics and AI models. You will design, prototype, and validate novel architectures in a focused incubation team, collaborating with researchers across the organization.

You'll work on state-of-the-art machine learning, robotics, and data-driven paradigms, contributing to long-term product goals with clear milestones and hands-on fabrication and prototyping experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in robotics, motion planning, embodied AI, or related fields.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform fundamental and applied research to push the scientific and technological frontiers of embodied artificial intelligence.
• Invent/improve data-driven paradigms for robotics across modalities (images, video, text, audio, tactile).
• Investigate paradigms for embodied behaviors from simulated characters to real robots across horizons.
• Develop algorithms based on state-of-the-art ML and neural networks.
• Define, build and benchmark functionalities for next-gen AI.
• Conduct research towards long-term product goals with intermediate milestones.
• Lead, plan, and execute novel research based on long-term objectives of the organization.
