Job summary

AEM Singapore Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an embedded software engineer to design and implement firmware for STM32-based control systems. You will write in C, test thoroughly, and maintain firmware to ensure reliable operation.

The role includes developing Python tooling for testing and automation, interfacing with UART/SPI/I2C/CAN peripherals, and collaborating with hardware, product, and engineering teams across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Strong programming skills in C, with hands-on experience in firmware or embedded software development.
  • Experience with Python programming for scripting, automation, testing, or tool development.
  • Familiarity with STM32microcontrollers and embedded systems development.
  • Good understanding of microcontroller peripherals, debugging tools, and embedded development workflows.
  • Experience with embedded control systems and hardware-software integration.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, or CAN.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
