Job summary

Qualifications

• Senior Embedded Systems Engineer with embedded Linux and real-time microcontroller firmware experience.
• Experience with Yocto-based Linux distributions.
• Experience with U-Boot, boot-time configuration, firmware update mechanisms, and secure-boot.
• Kernel development and device drivers (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet).
• Real-time control firmware for power-conversion systems.
• Deterministic control loops on TI C2000 devices (ePWM, ADC, CMPSS, DMA, CLA).
• Collaborate with hardware engineers during prototype bring-up and validation.
• Diagnose system issues using JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzers, trace tools, and software debuggers.
• Develop automated tests and document firmware architecture and bring-up procedures.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose system-level issues using JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzers, trace tools, and software debuggers.
• Develop automated tests and document firmware architecture, interfaces, and bring-up procedures.

Tasks

• Bring up and maintain embedded Linux platforms.
• Customize Yocto-based Linux distributions, including recipes, images, toolchains, and production configuration.
• Configure and optimize U-Boot, boot-time behavior, firmware update mechanisms, and secure-boot features.
• Develop and debug Linux kernel modules and device drivers for I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet, and other product-specific peripherals.
• Develop and maintain real-time control firmware for digital power-conversion systems, including AC/DC, DC/DC, inverter, or related topologies.
• Implement deterministic voltage and current control loops on TI C2000 devices using ePWM, ADC, CMPSS, DMA, interrupts, and CLA where applicable.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers during prototype board bring-up, board validation, signal verification, and production testing.
