Job summary

JAC RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer (Optical Communications) to join our firmware and software development team in Singapore.

You will contribute to embedded software, firmware, and SDK solutions powering next-generation optical communication products. Ideal candidates have a degree in Electronics/Communications and up to 2 years in embedded C/C++ development, with a solid grounding in software engineering and embedded systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/CE/EE or related field.
• 0-2 years of embedded C/C++ development; fresh graduates welcome.
• Strong fundamentals in software engineering and embedded systems.
• Experience with optical communication systems or Optical DSP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design SDK and firmware software for semiconductor chips and optical communication devices.
• Participate in system development, maintenance, feature implementation, and software upgrades.
• Develop and implement software features based on product specifications and customer requirements.
• Design and implement software architectures and application code to meet performance, reliability, quality, and security objectives.
• Perform software integration, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Collaborate closely with hardware, ASIC, RTL, validation, and system engineering teams throughout product development and bring-up activities.
• Develop software utilities, APIs, diagnostic tools, and supporting applications.
• Take ownership of assigned development tasks and contribute to technical documentation, design specifications, and engineering reports.

We are seeking a Embedded Firmware Engineer (Optical Communications) to join the firmware and software development team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of embedded software, firmware, and SDK solutions that power next-generation optical communication products.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 0-2 years of experience in embedded C/C++ development. Fresh graduates with strong fundamentals are encouraged to apply.
• Strong foundation in software engineering principles and embedded systems development.
• Familiarity with embedded software and firmware development environments.
• Plus if you have experience with optical communication systems, optical modules, or Optical DSP products.
