Job summary

SEAMAP PTE LTD in Singapore seeks an experienced embedded systems engineer to design and develop hardware-software integrated solutions. You will work on MCU/SoC platforms, FPGA-based digital design, and software/firmware in C/C++, ensuring reliable performance across diverse conditions.

The role requires 3+ years in digital project design, strong Verilog/VHDL, Xilinx Vivado experience, PCB knowledge, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• B.Eng/B.Sc or M.Eng/M.Sc in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years in digital project design.
• Proficiency in MCU/SoC platform design and programming.
• Experience with Xilinx FPGA, Vivado, Verilog/VHDL.
• Strong background in digital circuit design and PCB knowledge.
• C/C++, AI framework knowledge.
• Networking: TCP/IP, UDP, CAN, I2C, SPI, UART, USB.
• Able to produce meticulous design and production documentation.
• Proficient with lab equipment and Windows/Linux environments.
• Willing to travel to Johor facility if required.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Embedded Systems & Software Development: Design and develop embedded systems, alongside software and firmware, for cutting-edge products, focusing on the seamless integration of hardware and software functionalities and emphasizing innovation and reliability.
• Digital Hardware: Engage in digital hardware design, system architecture, and development on FPGA, SoC, and SoM.
• Software & Firmware: Develop software and firmware for embedded systems, prioritizing reliability and ensuring consistent performance across diverse operational scenarios.
• System Integration & Testing: Conduct system integration, debugging, testing, and design verification throughout the project lifecycle.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation and production materials.
• Research & Development: Innovate and enhance both new and existing products, leveraging AI capabilities to drive technological advancement.

Essential Skills & Requirements

Educational Background: B.Eng/B.Sc or M.Eng/M.Sc in a relevant engineering discipline.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in digital project design.

Technical Expertise & Requirements:
Proficiency in MCU/MPU/SoC embedded system platform design and programming.Experience with Xilinx FPGA technologies and Vivado tools, with skills in Verilog or VHDL.Strong background in digital electronic circuit design and PCB/component knowledge.Deep understanding of microcontrollers, embedded peripherals, and network interfaces.Proficiency in software and firmware development in C, C++, with an understanding of AI frameworks. Knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, high-speed ADC, LVDS, SPI, CAN, I2C, UART, USB interfaces.Capable of architecting and implementing embedded software and firmware to high standards.Ability to produce meticulous design and production documentation.Ability to use standard engineering laboratory equipment, such as oscilloscope, analysers, power supplies, generators, etc. Proficient in Windows OS (11, 10 and 7), Linux, and Microsoft Office.

Communication & Collaboration:
Excellent written and spoken English.Ability to provide regular project updates and presentations.Self-motivated, responsible, and a collaborative team player.

Travel:
Willingness to travel, if required, for new product commissioning.Available for short trips to our Johor manufacturing facility.
