Job summary

HELIUS TECHNOLOGIES PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to develop and maintain Net Zero products. You will work with a focused team to select and implement embedded Linux distributions and contribute to a Home EMS system using Home Assistant components.

The role emphasizes cross-project code reuse, scalable solutions for global markets, and involvement in the full software lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of embedded software development experience, preferably Linux-based.
Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming languages.
Experience with embedded Linux distributions (Yocto/Buildroot) and Linux kernel development.
Experience with Home Assistant or similar open-source home automation platforms.
Knowledge of modern cybersecurity requirements and CE-RED directive considerations.
Familiarity with ARM SoCs and low-level device drivers.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain embedded software for Net Zero products, ensuring code reusability across projects.
Collaborate with a small team to deliver high-quality software within timelines.
Choose and implement the best embedded Linux distribution for projects (Yocto/Buildroot).
Develop a Home EMS system based on a Linux OS stack, using Home Assistant components.
Ensure software is scalable for global markets, starting with Europe.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle from design to maintenance.
