Job summary

Australian International School in Singapore is seeking an Elementary Classroom Teacher (Arts) to lead Visual Arts education and drive student engagement.

The role requires exemplary teaching, strong organisational skills, and a collaborative mindset. You will work with the Visual Arts Coordinator and Head of Elementary, supporting the IB Primary Years Programme and ongoing exhibition activities.

Qualifications

• Exemplary teaching and learning skills in Visual Arts.
• Strong organisational/administrative skills for data/curriculum documentation.
• Ability to work with teams and foster collaboration.
• Excellent communication with students, parents and colleagues.
• Experience with International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme.
• Commitment to professional learning community.

Responsibilities

• Set appropriate Visual Arts tasks and activities with differentiation.
• Regularly check student work and provide feedback to parents and students.
• Encourage use of appropriate technologies in Visual Arts classes.
• Set assessment tasks to measure learning (formative/summative).
• Maintain records of student achievements and communications.
• Complete student reports diligently.
• Care for school resources and respond to damages.
• Recognise student achievements (merit certificates).
• Encourage participation in the Exhibition process.
• Other duties as determined with Visual Arts Coordinator and Head of Elementary.
