Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Electronics Test Technician to perform PCBA functional testing, measurements, and data collection on our EE test stations.

You will assemble and verify components, document results, and support engineering review. The role requires a Diploma or Higher NITEC in Electronics or Mechatronics, strong knowledge of analogue/digital circuitry, soldering and PCB handling, and willingness to work overtime or night shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Higher NITEC or Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Good understanding of analog and digital electronics, including testing and measurement techniques.
• Proficient in soldering, desoldering, and component replacement on PCBAs and PCBs.
• Hands-on experience in PCBA testing and measurement using equipment such as DC power supplies, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators, RF power meters, and spectrum analyzers.
• Able to work independently after training.
• Effective communicator with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Follow test procedures and perform PCBA functional testing and measurements with electronic test equipment.
• Assemble and install components for testing and validation activities.
• Analyze data and prepare technical test reports for engineering review.
• Maintain 6S standards for test stations and equipment.
• Coordinate calibration with Quality team and ensure timely calibration.
• Support engineers in PCBA hardware troubleshooting and rework activities.
• Collaborate with engineers to support project and production needs.
• Demonstrate ownership to achieve production targets.
