Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking an Electromechanical Design Innovation Intern to contribute to the development of relay technologies and innovative concepts. Located in Kallang, the role offers hands-on prototyping and learning within a collaborative design team.

You will design, build, and test prototypes, while collaborating with engineers to refine concepts and validate results. A Bachelor's student in mechanical design or related fields is preferred, with SolidWorks/Creo and 3D printing

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design or a related field.
Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks and/or Creo, with knowledge of mechanical design principles.
Experience with 3D printing technologies and plastic part design.
Understanding of cross-disciplinary concepts involving electronics and electrical engineering.
Familiarity with simulation and analytical tools such as Ansys and/or Python.
Knowledge of planar coils, compliant mechanisms, and electrostatic systems is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Work on innovation concepts related to relay technologies and applications.
Design and develop prototypes based on identified concepts and business requirements.
Refine and optimize concepts through testing and validation to deliver feasible and functional prototypes.
Collect, analyze, and present project data in accordance with Schneider Electric's innovation processes, methodologies, and tools.
