Job summary

RRecruiter is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer for a US multinational technology group in Singapore. You will perform hands-on electrical testing and validation of active, passive, and electromechanical components using laboratory equipment, develop test plans, and interpret results to accept or reject parts.

The role emphasizes bench testing, Failure Analysis, and documenting results; familiarity with PXI/LabVIEW and QA standards (AS9100/ISO/IEC 17025) is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years hands-on component-level electrical testing and validation in semiconductor/electronics.
• Strong bench testing, electrical measurement, and lab equipment experience.
• Experience testing active, passive, and electromechanical components.
• Experience developing test procedures for component validation.
• FA (Failure Analysis) experience preferred.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of ESD handling and lab practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on electrical testing and validation of components using lab equipment.
• Develop and improve test methods, plans, and setups; interpret results for acceptance or rejection.
• Conduct bench testing and Failure Analysis to identify performance issues and root causes.
• Operate equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, LCR meters, SMUs, curve tracers, generators, and analyzers.
• Maintain detailed test records, databases, and technical documentation.
• Support customer technical requirements, RFQs, audits, and technical exchanges.
• Collaborate with Sales, Quality, and Operations on customer specs.

Primary Focus: Component-Level Testing | Electrical Validation | Failure Analysis | Laboratory Testing

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on electrical testing and validation of active, passive, and electromechanical components using laboratory test equipment.
• Develop and improve electrical test methods, procedures, test plans, and setups; interpret results and recommend acceptance or rejection.
• Conduct bench testing and Failure Analysis (FA) to identify component performance issues and root causes.
• Operate equipment such as Oscilloscopes, DMMs, LCR Meters, SMUs, Curve Tracers, Signal/Function Generators, Impedance/Spectrum Analyzers, and related test instruments.
• Maintain detailed test records, databases, and technical documentation.
• Support customer technical requirements, RFQs, audits, technical exchanges, and application-related activities
• Work with Sales, Quality, and Operations on customer specifications and technical requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of hands-on component-level electrical testing and validation within the semiconductor/electronics industry.
• Strong experience with bench testing, electrical measurement, and laboratory test equipment.
• Experience testing electronic components including active, passive, and electromechanical devices.
• Experience developing test procedures and methods for component validation.
• Failure Analysis (FA) experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of ESD handling and laboratory practices.
• Familiarity with National Instruments PXI / LabVIEW is advantageous.
• Knowledge of relevant component quality/testing standards such as AS9100/AS9120, AS6081, AS5553, AS6171, JEDEC, or ISO/IEC 17025 is advantageous.
