Job summary

KBE Air-Conditioning & Engineering Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an experienced Electrical Technician to assemble, test, and maintain wiring and control systems. You will interpret blueprints and support troubleshooting during and after installation.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in Electrical/Aircon fields, a Nitec or Diploma, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and proficiency with hand/tools, soldering, and fault-testing equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Electrical, Technician, Aircon or related field.
• Nitec or Diploma in Electrical / Electronic or relevant discipline
• At least 2 years experience as an Electrical Technician.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience operating hand and power tools, soldering and fault-testing equipment.
• Able to read electrical circuitry drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
• Provide technical assistance and resolution when electrical or engineering problems are encountered before, during and after construction.
• Install and maintain electrical control systems.
• Modify electrical prototypes, parts, assemblies and systems to correct functional deviations.
• Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
• Constructing and fabricating parts, using hand tools and specifications.
• Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
• Advising management on continued use of unsuitable equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
• Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate performance of developmental parts or systems under simulated operating conditions and record results.
• Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical instruments or testing equipment.
• Review existing electrical engineering criteria to identify necessary revisions, deletions or amendments to outdated material.
• Other duties as assigned.
