Job summary

RRecruiter, on behalf of a US MNC specialising in commercial kitchen and foodservice equipment, is seeking an Electrical Engineer (System Integration) in Singapore to lead electrical system architecture for refrigeration and related gear.

You will coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure DFMed, cost-efficient design, and compliance with UL, CE, EMI/EMC standards. 3–10 years of experience and CAD proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–10 years of experience in electrical system design, system integration, or product engineering within refrigeration, HVAC, commercial equipment, or appliance industries.
• Strong background in system-level integration, electrical safety, motor control, power distribution, and embedded system interfacing.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD software for system schematics and wiring design (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
• Solid understanding of international safety and compliance standards (e.g., UL, IEC, CSA, ASHRAE).
• Hands-on experience in system-level electrical testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to manage technical coordination with cross-functional teams and overseas suppliers.
• Advantageous: Experience with smart refrigeration/IoT systems, energy efficiency standards (Energy Star), embedded firmware integration, or stage-gate NPI processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical system architecture, design, and integration for commercial equipment.
• Oversee overall system integration, connecting power systems, control modules, sensors, wiring harnesses, and HMI.
• Prepare, review, and manage system-level electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
• Define system design specifications, perform system-level testing, and provide guidance to internal teams and external manufacturing partners.
• Coordinate system performance evaluations, testing, and validation with suppliers and offshore partners for DFM and cost optimization.
• Oversee end-to-end cold equipment performance, system testing, and cost analysis for QSR project requirements.
• Drive product certification and compliance programs at the system level (UL, CE, EMI/EMC, electrical safety, and thermal).
• Conduct system-level risk assessments, FMEA, and design reviews to ensure reliability.
• Maintain comprehensive product documentation, including system spec sheets, wiring manuals, and technical design records.
