Job summary

Yong Tai Yong Electrical Engineering Pte. Ltd. is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to support the Project Manager and Site Manager in planning, coordinating and executing electrical installation works on construction sites.

You will work with main contractors, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel to ensure timely delivery. Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and technical docs, preparing shop drawings and schematics, resolving clashes with other services,

Responsibilities

Assist the Project Manager and Site Manager in planning, coordinating and executing electrical installation works for construction projects.
Coordinate day-to-day electrical works with Main Contractors, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel.
Review electrical drawings, specifications, shop drawings and technical documents before commencement of site works.
Coordinate and prepare electrical shop drawings, layout drawings, schematic diagrams and related technical submissions.
Check drawings against actual site conditions and coordinate discrepancies with the relevant project parties.
Coordinate electrical services with architectural, structural and other M&E services to identify and resolve clashes and installation constraints.
Attend consultant, Main Contractor, technical, coordination and site meetings as required.
Follow up on technical comments, drawing amendments, RFIs, material submissions and other project-related documentation.
Monitor site progress and ensure electrical works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
Identify technical and site coordination issues and work with the project team to implement practical solutions without unnecessary delay to the project.
Coordinate with subcontractors and site teams on manpower deployment, work sequence and installation requirements.
Conduct regular site inspections to verify installation progress, workmanship and compliance with approved drawings.
Assist with inspection, testing, commissioning and handover activities for electrical systems where required.
Coordinate rectification works arising from inspections, consultant comments and site observations.
Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, technical submissions, site instructions and other project documentation.
Assist in preparing and updating As-Built Drawings according to completed site installations.
Monitor project schedules and follow up with relevant parties to ensure works are completed within required timelines.
Report project progress, technical issues and site constraints to the Project Manager.
Perform other project engineering and site coordination duties related to electrical construction works as assigned.
