Job summary

KWONG HUI ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to lead electrical installations on site in Singapore.

You will report to the Project Manager and oversee day-to-day site operations to ensure timely execution of works. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and strong skills in drawing interpretation, testing, commissioning and coordination with contractors, consultants

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical installation or project engineering in Singapore's construction.
• Experience in commercial, institutional, industrial or large-scale projects is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of electrical systems, installations and local authority requirements.
• Able to interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Familiar with electrical testing, inspection and commissioning.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiar with AutoCAD, BIM/Revit or similar software.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Manager and execute project duties per requirements.
• Oversee day-to-day site operations for timely electrical works.
• Supervise site teams, workers and subcontractors.
• Assist in project planning, scheduling, and manpower/material coordination.
• Coordinate with main contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
• Review electrical drawings and specs before site work.
• Prepare and follow up on shop drawings and material submissions.
• Monitor progress to align with drawings and schedules.
• Coordinate changes and site instructions issued by stakeholders.
• Monitor costs, material usage and subcontractor progress.
• Maintain project documentation using Excel and project systems.
• Assist in engineering resource planning and progress claims.
• Coordinate testing, inspection and commissioning activities.
• Resolve technical, coordination, and site issues.
• Ensure milestones and handover deadlines are met.
• Maintain site safety in line with WHS requirements.
• Report accidents and safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain housekeeping and hazard-free work areas.
• Perform other project-related duties.
