Job Description: Operations Lead

Position Title: Operations Lead
Location: Singapore
Reports To: Operations Manager

Role Overview

As the Operations Lead, you will oversee the end-to-end operations of EV charging infrastructure, ensuring optimal uptime, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. You will lead operational teams responsible for site maintenance, installation coordination, network monitoring, and service delivery. Your role is critical in driving operational excellence and supporting the company’s mission to expand sustainable transportation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management:

· Lead daily operations of EV charging stations and related infrastructure to ensure maximum availability and performance.

· Coordinate installation, maintenance, and repair activities with field teams, vendors, and contractors.

· Monitor charging network performance through software platforms and address technical or operational issues proactively.

· Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for site management, safety compliance, and customer service.

· Track and analyze operational KPIs such as uptime, fault response time, and usage patterns; prepare reports for leadership.

· Manage and mentor a team of technicians, site managers, and customer support staff to deliver high-quality service.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and customer experience to support new deployments and upgrades.

· Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operational workflows and reduce downtime or operational costs.

· Handle escalations from customers or field teams and implement corrective actions promptly.

· Manage contractual obligations with third-party vendors, service providers, and utility companies.

Project & Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients regarding operational matters. Foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction with charging site maintenance and services.

  • Maintain clear and accurate records of operation documents, records and progress. Provide regular updates to management on operational performance.

  • Ensure that all operations and contracts comply with Electric Vehicles Charging Act (EVCA), including safety regulations, environmental standards, and electrical codes for EV operations.

Budget & Financial Oversight:

  • Manage the budget for operational activities, ensuring that projects are delivered within the specified financial constraints.

  • Develop and manage operational budgets for maintenance, and support services.

  • Track OPEX and CAPEX spending against project plans and report on variances.

  • Analyze cost structures and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.

Any tasks as assigned by the management where necessary.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.

  • Experience:

o Minimum 3 years of experience in operations management, preferably in EV charging, energy infrastructure, or utilities.

o Strong understanding of EV charging technologies, hardware, and software platforms.

o Experience in planning field operations, service teams, or technical support in a distributed network environment.

o Knowledge of safety standards, electrical codes, and regulatory requirements related to EV infrastructure.

o Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

o Proficient in data analysis and operational reporting tools.

Working Conditions:
