Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Basic: SGD 2500 - SGD 3000

Working Hours: 5.5 days

* 8am - 5pm (Mon - Fri)

* 8am - 12pm (Sat)

Job Description:

Under the direction of a Maintenance/Plant Manager, the Electrical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for scheduling and undertaking periodic maintenance on all electrical equipment, components, and installations.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide prompt response to inquiries during breakdowns and resolve issues quickly.
2. Ensure equipment is in good working order to prevent disruptions; install new electrical components and fittings.
3. Recommend replacements for faulty electrical parts to management.
4. Assist in forecasting requirements, creating budgets, and scheduling expenses for the electrical department.
5. Maintain records of stock and supplies, including electrical equipment.
6. Collaborate with the production team to optimize manufacturing processes cost-effectively.
7. Perform energy audits and suggest alternative energy sources.
8. Help reduce energy costs for the organization.
9. Ensure all electrical gadgets and instruments are switched off after daily operations.
10. Maintain lighting and air-conditioning fixtures.
11. Plan, implement, and control electrical activities, troubleshoot, support production machinery, and meet production targets.
12. Attend training to learn new skills and industry trends.
13. Provide a safe working environment and prevent electrical accidents.
14. Make recommendations to prevent fire outbreaks.
15. Supervise purchase of electrical fittings and components.
16. Provide 24-hour maintenance services or assign staff accordingly.
17. Supervise electrical works during new projects.
18. Support company profitability through resource management and recommendations.
19. Ensure safety procedures and compliance with codes of practice.
20. Maintain schematic diagrams and ISO documentation.
21. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical machine repairing.
