Job summary

YAMATO ENERGY PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a senior Electrical/Power Engineer to inspect electrical components during and after installation, define interlock and power distribution requirements, and test relays.

You will coordinate with PE, LEW, and BLEW to ensure compliance and quality, and oversee handover to operations. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in testing CT/PT/relays/transformers, 5+ years in new construction projects (factories, infra, oil & gas), and strong communication and project

Qualifications

• Extensive electrical and power engineering expertise.
• At least 5 years testing CT/PT/relays/transformers in Singapore.
• 5+ years in new construction projects (factories, infrastructure, plants, oil & gas).
• Support installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Strong communication skills.
• Review tasks and initiate corrective actions.
• Experience designing/managing electrical systems for offshore/industrial facilities.
• Mechanical or Electrical background.
• Project management and supervision.
• Fast learner with positive attitude.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, control, circuit design.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical components during and after installation.
• Assist in defining interlock, control, and power distribution requirements.
• Test IED numerical relays and propose solutions.
• Coordinate with PE, LEW, BLEW to ensure compliance and quality.
• Oversee project handover to Asset Operation & Management.
• Prepare testing and commissioning documentation.
• Coordinate procurement of electrical and structural drawings.
• Review submissions and track client requirements for on-time submission.
• Support ad-hoc tasks, including PV/string layouts and updating drawings.
