RMO Sputter Equipment Engineering team – developing engineering solutions in the field of mechanical, electrical/electronics, PLC, software & controls, and advanced analytic systems. We provide technical & engineering support to enhance ultra-high vacuum (UHV) sputter machines, with upgrades aimed at improving OEE, reducing unscheduled and scheduled downtime, enhancing operations, process capabilities, lowering indirect material (IDM)/hardware/consumables costs, increasing productivity, supporting new product conversion readiness, media performance, and defect reduction.

About the role - you will:
  • Be responsible for technical assignments related to the electrical design and development of semiconductor and disk media processing equipment.
  • Collaborate within a diverse team including mechanical, software, process, and manufacturing specialists.
  • Design with safety standards for high voltage and high power applications.
  • Utilize test equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and frequency generators to troubleshoot designs.
  • Design cables and PCBs for vacuum components including gauges, MFCs, valves, and turbo controllers.
  • Use software tools like Agile or Omnify for configuration control.
  • Layout industrial networks such as Beckhoff and Siemens, including Ethercat and Profinet protocols.
  • Implement Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • Design safety interlocks.

Your experience includes:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant disciplines.
  • Preferably 2 to 4 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience with electrical systems design and troubleshooting on semiconductor tools including RF plasma, PVD, CVD, and etch processes.
  • Design experience for EMI and EMC safety compliance.
  • Hands-on PCB design experience.
  • Ability to influence change, provide superior support, and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Experience working in a high-tech environment is preferred.
  • Experience with RF circuit design and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of digital, analog, and mixed design.
  • Power Distribution (PDU) design experience, especially with 208VAC/200+Amp systems, is a plus.
