Job summary

A leading engineering company in Singapore is seeking an Electrical Engineer to analyze and resolve technical electrical issues. The ideal candidate will have a minimum degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in the automation or equipment industries. Responsibilities include managing EOL components, fulfilling specific design requests, and collaborating with diverse teams to ensure safe and compliant designs. Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in automation or equipment industries.
  • Experience with EMI/EMC compliance.
  • Familiarity with Erlang (P8) is a plus.

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and resolve technical electrical issues within agreed timeframes
  • Manage component end-of-life (EOL) and sourcing of alternatives
  • Lead engineering change requests and implement approved solutions
  • Fulfill customer-specific electrical design requests
  • Maintain accurate product data (BOMs, drawings, specs) in the PLM system
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, software) to achieve project goals
  • Ensure all designs comply with international safety and product standards (UL, CE, RoHS)
  • Provide electrical engineering support for R&D projects and global production sites

Requirements:

  • Minimum Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience in automation or equipment industries
  • Analog/digital circuits, sensors, motors, cabling, and EMI/EMC compliance
  • Debugging with standard lab equipment (Oscilloscope, etc.)
  • Experience with PLM systems and Erlang (P8)
  • Competency in PCB layout design (Cadence)
