Job summary

OCAS SYSTEMS PTE. LTD. is seeking an Electrical/Mechatronics engineer to design and develop motion control systems for wafer probers.

You will create detailed schematics, drive approaches, and sensor layouts, while performing feasibility studies and simulations to validate concepts. The role involves building prototypes, testing designs to meet industry standards, and collaborating with mechanical and software engineers to ensure seamless integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software for electrical system design.
• Strong understanding of motion control principles, including motors, drives and feedback systems.
• Knowledge of control algorithms, PLC programming, and automation technologies.
• Familiarity with sensors, actuators, and other electrical components used in motion control systems.
• Strong analytical skills to assess system performance and identify improvements.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex motion control design issues.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Relevant experience designing motion control systems, preferably in semiconductors.
• Experience with wafer probers or semiconductor testing equipment is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, ability to work independently on multiple projects.
• Strong organizational skills and commitment to high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for motion control in wafer probers, including motors, drives, sensors, and control systems.
