Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy firm in Singapore is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and manage projects within the construction field. This role involves preparing tender documents, managing project coordination and supervision during installations. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering and 1 to 3 years of experience in the construction or consultancy sectors. The position requires strong project management skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of working experience in designs, supervisions and implementation.
• Experience in engineering consultancy or construction industry is a plus.
• Able to multi-task and work independently under pressure.

Job Description

• Designs of electrical engineering service for building projects, and knowledge of electrical engineering services
• Prepare tender documents, call tenders, evaluate tender returns and recommend tender awards
• Project management, coordination, supervisions, testing and commissioning for installations of mechanical and electrical engineering services during construction phases. This includes reviewing shop drawings, progress claims and variation claims.
• Engage in discussions with relevant authorities for preparations and submissions of plans
• Attend meetings with clients, contractors and suppliers
• Manage project through defined project scopes, detailed project plans & seek client’s agreements for sign-off
• Track project status and provide regular updates to ensure projects are on tracks
• Any other works as may be directed due to specific requirement of the projects

Job Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering duly recognised by Professional Engineer Board of Singapore and accepted universities within the BCA listing
• Preferably 1 to 3 years of working experience in designs, supervisions and implementation
• Experience in engineering consultancy or construction industry would be an added advantage
• Able to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment
• Be independent, self-motivated, able to work under pressure and deliver timely.
