Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with system engineers to define electrical system/subsystem design specifications.
- Design electrical interlock and power distribution systems for semiconductor machinery.
- Manage external vendors or contractors to deliver subsystems that meet design specifications and reliability standards.
- Generate schematic drawings and cable management layouts.
- Integrate and test subsystems.
- Design diagnostic tools/fixtures for manufacturing and field services.
- Provide escalation support, attend conference calls, and participate in face-to-face meetings with customers.
- Prepare presentation materials for technical discussions.
- Perform prototype testing, troubleshooting, and prepare analysis reports.
Prerequisites (Qualifications and Experience)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Electronics Engineering or a related field with at least 1 year of experience in a semiconductor equipment development environment.
- Background in motion control systems.
- Experience in implementing PCB, frame grabbers, CCD, cap gages, A/D, and I/O boards.
- Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to resolve electrical noise, grounding, and signal integrity issues.
- Knowledge of power distribution for both AC and DC systems.
- Familiarity with Ethernet and TCP/IP protocols.
- Experience in FMEA, problem-solving, and troubleshooting.
- Background in automation and control loops.
- Knowledge of designing and documenting cables.
- Understanding of safety and electrical regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work well in a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Electrical CAD software.
