Job summary

CRAFTSMAN ENGINEERING SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Project Engineer (Electrical/Automation) to conduct on-site inspections, develop detailed electrical shop drawings, and coordinate submissions for project approvals in Singapore.

You will establish schedules using MS Project and Primavera P6, prepare Excel-based tracking, manage materials, and support tendering and QA/QC activities across project stages to ensure successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control, or related field (full-time study) Preferred.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in electrical or control systems across full project cycles (design, construction, commissioning, settlement).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; familiarity with project management tools (MS Project, P6).
• Strong communication and coordination skills; ability to solve on-site technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspection of electrical system installation work.
• Develop detailed electrical shop drawings and coordinate drawing submissions for approval; guide site workers in construction execution based on approved drawings.
• Establish professional construction schedules using project management software such as MS Project or P6; prepare Excel-based bar charts and maintain 3-week rolling schedule tracking.
• Manage system point counts, material sourcing, price inquiries and negotiations, and material submittals; inspect and verify quantities, specifications, and receiving of materials upon delivery.
• Participate in site and company meetings as required, and prepare meeting minutes.
• Support tendering activities as per company requirements, including quantity take-offs, procurement inquiries, cost compilation, interview support, site surveys, etc.
• Coordinate with QAQC teams to support inspection and acceptance procedures at all project stages.
• Oversee project close-out activities, proactively track and complete all punch-list items, including outstanding issues from other disciplines.
