Job summary

ORION SYSTEMS INTEGRATION PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to develop and design electrical circuits, panel layouts, and control systems for semiconductor equipment.

You will prepare BOMs, schematics, test procedures, and installation manuals while collaborating with Design and Manufacturing teams. The role requires 3+ years of experience in electrical circuit design, PLC programming, and hands-on testing.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in electrical circuit design and schematic drawing.
• Knowledge of PLC programming.
• Familiar with relays, timers, valves, contactors, transformers, and proximity sensors.
• Hands-on testing and fault diagnosis of electrical circuits.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and independently problem-solve.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin to support Chinese-speaking stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design electrical circuit, panel layout, power contribution for semiconductor equipment.
• Prepare BOM, Electrical schematic layout drawings, test procedure, installation manual and other design documents for design traceability.
• Liaise directly with the Design and Manufacturing teams to ensure project requirements are met.
• Read, interpret, and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
• Prepare and modify electrical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Review and evaluate electrical drawings to ensure they are clear and easily understood by technicians.
• Perform wiring harness assembly according to design specifications.
• Conduct troubleshooting and fault finding for electrical components and control panels.
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet customer requirements and expectations.
• Design and develop electrical control systems for machinery and equipment.
• Support electrical testing, commissioning, and system improvements when required.

Requirements

• Min 3 years Experience in electrical circuit design and schematic drawing.
• Knowledge and experience in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming.
• Familiar with electrical devices such as relays, timers, valves, contactors, transformers, and proximity sensors.
• Hands-on experience with electrical circuit testing, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis.
• Positive working attitude with strong willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with different departments.
• Able to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving.
• Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin, as the role will support and manage Chinese speaking stakeholders.
