Job description

JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical and Electronics Engineer to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, integration, and testing of electrical and electronic systems for our vapor deposition machines. This role involves working closely with mechanical, software, and process engineers to ensure reliable system performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and develop electrical and electronic subsystems including power distribution, control panels, and embedded systems for vacuum deposition equipment.
  • Specify and select appropriate components such as sensors, relays, PLCs, power supplies, and circuit protection devices.
  • Develop detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB layouts using CAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer).
  • Support automation and control system development, including PLC and HMI integration.
  • Collaborate with software engineers on firmware and system-level control integration.
  • Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and fault diagnostics during prototyping and production phases.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations (e.g., CE, UL).
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, test procedures, and user manuals.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing and field service teams

SKILLS

  • Experience with microcontroller-based systems and firmware development.
  • Knowledge of safety standards (IEC, NFPA 79, etc.) and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Experience in high-voltage and/or RF circuit design is advantageous

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of experience in electrical/electronic design, preferably in equipment manufacturing or vacuum/semiconductor industries.
  • Strong experience with lab tools and diagnostics (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers).
  • Familiarity with vacuum technology or thin-film deposition systems is a plus
