Our client, a well-known Japanese company, is currently looking for a Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer.
Responsible for planning, managing, and executing maintenance and engineering work activities in a safe, effective, and efficient manner at the plant. You will work in a team-oriented environment and lead a team to enhance operational efficiency.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and plan daily, ad-hoc, and shutdown maintenance activities to be executed safely and efficiently within schedule and budget.
- Oversee a team of seniors/superintendents, providing coaching and mentoring.
- Evaluate maintenance planning and work execution documents (e.g., Long Term Maintenance Plan, Critical Equipment List).
- Draft and revise maintenance work procedures and instructions.
- Collaborate with senior/superintendents to analyze plant equipment data, from predictive to preventive maintenance, to recommend countermeasures, maintain documentation, and fulfill ISO requirements, including personnel training.
- Support planning, execution, and coordination of Shut Down Maintenance (SDM), including statutory inspections.
- Provide technical support to plants and external vendors.
- Lead troubleshooting of complex problems and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve issues and implement countermeasures.
- Propose and lead improvement initiatives and projects.
- Execute engineering tasks and minor modifications focusing on electrical & instrumentation aspects.
- Conduct technical training for internal stakeholders and contractors.
- Coordinate maintenance activities and continuous improvement projects with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- A degree in electrical, instrumentation, mechatronics engineering, or related discipline, with at least 3 years of relevant experience in petrochemical or pharmaceutical industries.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical equipment, process instruments, control systems, PLC, and packaging systems (e.g., AC motors, analyzers, control valves, transmitters).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation issues and understanding of plant maintenance processes.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team, with good problem-solving skills, meticulousness, and the capacity to handle multiple tasks within schedules.
