Responsibilities include assisting residents, operating vehicles per safety protocols, and escalating concerns to nursing staff as required. Training provided for additional certifications, with a strong focus on elderly care and teamwork.

Qualifikationen

• Requires a valid Class 4 driving licence.
• Defensive driving certification is preferred.
• CPR and AED certification must be current.
• Paramedic qualification preferred (training provided if not held).
• Experience in medical transport, hospitals, nursing homes or community care is advantageous.
• Demonstrates care and professionalism with elderly/medically vulnerable clients.
• Basic knowledge of emergency response and patient handling.
• Experience with CAMs and TMS is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Safely transport residents to and from nursing homes, hospitals, clinics and appointments, ensuring punctual and comfortable journeys.
• Operate medical transport vehicles per traffic rules and safety protocols.
• Assist residents with boarding/alighting, wheelchair handling and safety restraints.
• Monitor residents during transit and escalate concerns to nursing staff as needed.
• Respond to medical or emergency situations, performing basic life support when required.
• Keep vehicle records in CAMs and follow daily schedules per TMS.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections for roadworthiness and cleanliness.
• Support ad-hoc transport needs, including medicine pick-ups.
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle environment and perform multi-skilled tasks as assigned.

Kenntnisse

Driving licence (Class 4)
