Job summary

NTUitive Pte Ltd invites applications for a Workplace Safety and Health Officer to implement and monitor safety programs across START Centre sites. You will oversee EHS compliance, lead training, and review safety documents to ensure regulatory adherence and risk mitigation.

The role requires 2+ years in R&D/manufacturing/chemicals with MOM WSHO certification, strong communication, and time-management skills. Collaboration with NTU OHS teams and external agencies is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher with relevant Certifications and accreditations such as WSHO (MOM Singapore).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in R&D, Manufacturing or Chemicals industries; WSHO experience with PUB Plants/Projects is a plus.
• Familiar with HSSE regulations and compliance requirements; internal auditor knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure strict EHS compliance and improve EHS culture across labs, workshops, offices and pilot sites.
• Maintain, manage and update Safety Management Systems and other safety frameworks; review PTW and risk assessments.
• Lead safety training programs and inductions for staff, contractors and visitors; conduct safety audits and incident investigations.
• Coordinate emergency response planning, drills and safety inspections for high-risk activities such as lifting and confined spaces.
• Liaise with management, plant owners, contractors and external regulators (NEA, MOM, SCDF) regarding safety matters.
