Responsibilities:
Leading contractor safety related programs, including high risk activities such as working at height, hot work, electrical safety, etc. and managing the safety performance in associate site’s capital projects.
Perform EHS change assessment including other domains like chemical safety, ergonomics, etc. as part of the evaluation process. Thereafter, support the implementation of the change in alignment with established EHS requirements.
Designated site Fire Safety Manager with responsibilities of emergency drill performance, preparedness and readiness. Represent the EHS function as part of global business continuity planning and exercises.
Support organisation's EHSS standards, programs and management system to ensure that site is in compliance with both local regulatory guidelines and organisation's EHS requirements such as SS506 Occupational Safety & Health Management System, etc.
Together with other EHS managers, oversee site’s EHS legal compliance activities such as tracking and performing periodic gap analyses in meeting compliance to the relevant regulations (MOM, SCDF, NEA, HSA, SPF etc.), licenses/permits updates, etc. Coordinates internal and external EHSS related inspections, consults with external agencies and officials to ensure site compliance to legal requirements
Resource in EHS risk management program including participation in field walk-down for PSSR, PHA and HAZOP reviews, follow-ups and completes the required action items
Maintain and develop EHS metrics and statistic, track and routinely communicate to upper management.
Lead and conduct incident investigations and actively participate in root-cause analysis on EHSS related matters.
Manage EHS training requirements (i.e. training need analysis, qualifications and competency) per organisation and local regulatory requirements.
As people manager, responsible to lead a team within EHS for collective success of the organization, providing supervision, coaching and guidance for team’s development. Oversees the EHS programs and expectations from the team and ensuring that these are aligned with organisation’s EHSS objectives and targets.
Participate in the broader scope of organisation network EHS, render advice, resources and alignment for a holistic EHS success across organisation manufacturing locations globally.

Basic Qualifications
Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, Safety or technical equivalent and 6 years of Environment, Safety and Health experience preferably in manufacturing environments OR
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Safety or technical equivalent and/or 8 years of Environment, Safety and Health experience preferably in manufacturing environments
Registered Fire Safety Manager and Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer
Preferred Qualifications
Understand cGMP requirements and have had worked in the pharmaceutical industries.
Trained in auditing and with solid background in local occupational safety, health and environment regulations.
Experience in environmental programs management is advantageous in this role.
Experience in leading a team and ability to motivate, coach and develop staff.
Self-starter and positive motivation and ability to work independently to achieve objectives and targets.
Demonstrated proficiency of written and verbal communication skills (including technical writing and presentations) with ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with technical, senior management staff and employees at all levels.
High level of ethics and focus on quality to ensure accurate and confidential management of personal data.
Ability to work in a face-paced environment and manage competing demands that may arise.
