Job summary

MMC Success Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Safety Engineer/Coordinator to lead plant operation safety and EHS programs. You will oversee training, incident investigations, and development of risk management plans across operations.

The role requires relevant engineering qualifications, 2+ years in manufacturing or chemical safety, and strong communication with authorities and stakeholders. On-site role with opportunities for professional growth in a well-established company.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Chemical Engineering or any Engineering discipline.
• Advanced certificate in Workplace Safety and Health.
• In-depth knowledge of local safety legislation and ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall Plant Operation Safety matters and EHS training.
• Mentor operational departments in the Functional EHS Management program.
• Implement EHS Management System and RM plans for operation scope.
• Conduct daily safety walks and rectify hazards.
• Coordinate and deliver weekly EHS toolbox topics and safety campaigns.
• Train and supervise the Company Emergency Response Team for incidents.

Responsibilities

• To lead in the overall Plant Operation Safety matters, EHS training, reviewing Safe Work Procedures and Incident Investigation.

• Mentor multiple operational department in the Functional EHS Management program.

• Implement EHS Management System and Risk Management (RM) plans within EMM operation and non-operation scope

• Conduct daily walk about, and rectify any safety hazard that is found within the premises.

• Construct and circulate weekly EHS Tool Box Meeting Topics for the company.

• Train, co-ordinate and supervise the Company Emergency Response Team for the premises in first-aid, fire-fighting and evacuation in the event of fire or other related emergencies.

• Organize campaigns, training courses and other activities which will develop and maintain the EHS awareness of the employee.

• Support EHS policy, procedure and program implementation

Requirements

• At least a Diploma / Degree in Chemical Engineering or any Engineering discipline

• Minimum 2 years relevant working experience in manufacturing and/or chemical industry as a Safety Coordinator or Engineer.

• Possess an Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health

• Possess in depth knowledge of local legislation (e.g. WSH/SCDF/NEA), ISO45001, ISO14001 and procedures.

• Possess good organizational skills and meticulous.

• Independent, self-motivated with good communication skills with stakeholders, including authorities and customers.
