Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Singapore is seeking a proactive Engineer to lead Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) initiatives. The role includes conducting audits, training, and liaising with authorities to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Ideal candidates should have relevant engineering qualifications and experience in manufacturing, along with a RWSHO certification.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years relevant manufacturing experience required.
  • Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (RWSHO) needed.
  • Knowledge of local EH&S legislation; US OSHA awareness preferred.
  • Certificates in Fire Safety Management, Noise Monitoring, or Confined Space Safety preferred.

Responsibilities

About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive Engineer to drive Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) programs and ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards, and corporate safety policies. This role focuses on risk reduction, workplace safety, and fostering a world-class EHS culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate accidents and implement preventive measures.
  • Conduct EHS audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Support ISO (14001, 45001, 50001) and internal audits.
  • Train staff and emergency response teams on EHS awareness.
  • Review and update legal registers, site layouts, and safety documents (RA, JHA, JSA, HAZOP).
  • Monitor permits, licenses, and compliance requirements.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external authorities on EHS matters.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Environmental Engineering.
  • Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (RWSHO).
  • 2-4 years relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of local EH&S legislation; US OSHA awareness preferred.
