Job summary

Engie Singapore is seeking an experienced EHS professional to support workplace safety across multiple sites. You will assist EHS officers and site management, monitor safety programs, and coordinate with contractors on permits to work and risk assessments.

Responsibilities include conducting inductions, maintaining EHS documentation, and ensuring ISO 14001/45001 compliance. You will lead training, investigations, and follow-up actions to close non-conformities.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in a technical field with at least 5 years of relevant EHS experience.
  • WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B) or equivalent qualification recognised by MOM.
  • Lifting Supervisor courses (preferably).
  • Strong knowledge of fire safety and life-saving equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Support EHS Officers/Managers or site management to comply with workplace safety requirements.
  • Assist EHS matters at multiple sites without stationed EHS Officers/Managers.
  • Monitor the implementation and performance of EHS programs and advise management to improve deficiencies and compliance.
  • Coordinate with contractors on compliance with site safety rules, permits to work and risk assessments.
  • Conduct site safety induction and training where necessary.
  • Assist in the maintenance of EHS management system documentation.
  • Coordinate and monitor compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 and risk management program requirements.
  • Conduct regular site EHS inspections and report safe and unsafe conditions with follow-up until closure.
  • Assist gas-checking of confined spaces prior to entry for work activities.
  • Direct the issuance of Notices of Non-Compliance to contractors found in violation of EHS rules and regulations.
  • Facilitate and assist in the investigation of incidents and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Ensure lifting gear, appliances and electrical equipment are inspected monthly and records are up to date.
  • Carry out other EHS duties at multiple sites as directed by EHS Officers/Manager.
  • Document records and report EHS matters to the EHS Officers/Manager.
  • Assist in developing monthly EHS Bulletins.
  • Carry out ad-hoc assignments/tasks as required.

  • Assist EHS matters at multiple sites which do not have stationed EHS Officers/Managers.
  • Monitor the implementation and performance of EHS programs and work activities in order to

advice management so that they can improve on any deficiencies and WSH legal and other non-

compliances.

  • Coordinate with contractors and sub-contractors on compliance with site safety rules, permits to

work and safe work procedures risk assessments and any other necessary safety requirements.

  • Conduct site safety induction and training where necessary.
  • Assist in the maintenance of all EHS management system documentation.
  • Coordinate and monitor compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and risk management program

requirements.

  • Conduct regular site EHS inspections and the reporting of all safe and unsafe conditions, including

the follow-up actions until closure.

  • Assist gas-checking of confined spaces prior to entry for work activities.
  • Direct the issuance of Notices of Non-Compliance to contractor/subcontractors found in violation of

EHS rules & regulations, and follow-up to ensure compliance.

  • Facilitate and assist in the investigation of incidents, identification of root causes and the

implementation of the necessary corrective and preventive measures.

  • Ensure that all lifting gear, appliances and electrical equipment are inspected monthly and that the

register, colour coding and records are up to date.

  • Carry out any other EHS related functions/duties and processes as directed by EHS
  • Officers/Manager or site management, including performing any ad-hoc EHS duties at multiple
  • sites.
  • Document records and report all matters concerning EHS issues, to the EHS Officers/Manager.
  • Assist develop monthly EHS Bulletin.
  • Carry out any ad-hoc assignments/tasks required.
Requirements *
  • Diploma in a technical field with at least 5 years of relevant EHS working experience
  • WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B) or equivalent qualification

  • Able to facilitate in obtaining all necessary permits and licenses
  • Good time management, leadership qualities and skills
