The Company

Our client is an innovative listed fintech company who iis a trailblazer in its industry, driving cutting-edge solutions for their customers across Asia countries. As a publicly listed organization, it combines robust governance with the agility of a growing enterprise. With further business expansion needs, they are seeking an exceptional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to spearhead regional financial strategy and operations across Asia. This pivotal role involves direct leadership of regional financial initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in Southeast Asia, making it an exciting and impactful opportunity for a forward-thinking finance professional.

Your Role

As CFO, you will report to the CEO and board directly. And you will play a critical role as a strategic partner within the executive leadership team. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Financial Leadership & Strategy: Oversee all aspects of financial strategy, reporting, and operations across the Asia region to support corporate objectives and drive sustained growth.
  • M&A Leadership: Lead deal sourcing, due diligence, structuring, negotiation, and post-integration efforts for M&A activities in Southeast Asia (SEA) markets, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Regional Operational Excellence: Optimize financial processes and drive operational improvements across regional markets, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and global best practices.
  • Investor Relations: Manage investor communications and reporting while building strong relationships with shareholders, analysts, and key external stakeholders.
  • Team Building: Mentor and lead a high-performing finance team while fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: CPA, CFA, or an advanced degree such as an MBA is preferred
  • At least 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, wit exposure to regional or global roles.
  • Prior experience in the fintech/technology/service sector is highly desirable.
  • M&A Experience: Demonstrated success in leading end-to-end M&A processes, particularly in SEA markets. Exposure to cross-border transactions and post-deal integration is a strong advantage.
  • Public Company Expertise: Familiarity with the financial and regulatory requirements of publicly listed entities, including reporting, governance, and shareholder engagement.
  • Proven ability to inspire teams, work collaboratively, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including board members, investors, and regulators.
