Job summary

Lam Research seeks a Safety & Health professional to ensure regulatory compliance and manage the Workplace Safety and Health Management System across the manufacturing site in Singapore. The role covers inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, audits, and coordinating with management, customers, and authorities.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and be a registered WSH Officer with the Ministry of Manpower, with at least 5 years’ experience in

You will be responsible for administering and coordinating the organization’s Workplace Safety and Health Management Systems, processes and policies. This will include conducting safety inspections, closing audit findings, reviewing workplace risk assessments and coordinating safety training for all personnel.What you’ll doEnter, inspect and examine worksite for potential safety violationsInspect and examine any machinery, equipment, plant, installation or article in the worksite for potential violationsAssess the level of noise, illumination, heat or harmful or hazardous substances in the worksite and the exposure levels of persons at workInvestigate any accident, dangerous occurrence or occupational disease that occurred within the worksite. Coordinate with management, customers and relevant authorities when an incident occursConduct audits and safety briefings to ensure conformance to Lam’s and customers’ safety requirements and policiesEstablish mechanisms and risk mitigation strategies to implement and monitor compliance requirementsPerform the role of Safety Assessor for the inspection/assessment of Permit-to-work systemNotify local EHS manager of unresolved compliance issues and seek EHS guidance in implementing corrective actions as neededRepresent the business unit on EHS committees (Customer meetings) and provide regular briefings to business unit management and local EHS manager on the unit’s environmental and safety program status, trends and risksAssist in applying for special permits if certain work is required (e.g. hot work, working at tall heights etc)Maintenance of worksite safety records, certificates, notices and documentsManage internal WSH systems, coordinates government agency or customers visits, inspections and compliance audit at the workplace and submit audit reports to relevant stakeholders for reviewSupport SEA Business Continuity Plan team and participate actively in tabletop exercisesAny other Safety, Health and Environmental related duties as assigned by the Immediate SupervisorWho we’re looking forBachelor’s degree or equivalentAt least 5 years’ experience handling WSH in a manufacturing site, preferably in the electronic or semiconductor industryMust be a registered Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Officer with the Ministry of Manpower and possess relevant qualificationPossesses strong inter-personal and communications skills, both in written and spoken EnglishComfortable to interact with people of diverse backgroundsIs meticulous and maintains detailed and accurate recordsPreferred qualificationsOur commitmentWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
