Job summary

NCS is seeking a Cybersecurity Manager to lead the Cybersecurity Engineering team and deliver high-impact security services across mission-critical environments. You will drive risk-based decisions, oversee vulnerability remediation, and coordinate incident response with clients and internal teams.

You will mentor engineers, develop playbooks, and ensure service quality while aligning with industry standards such as NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001.

Qualifications

• Experience leading cybersecurity engineering teams in mission-critical environments.
• Hands-on with vulnerability assessment, VAPT and incident response.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK.
• Experience reviewing VAPT/incident reports, hardening assessments, and security architecture.
• Proficient with SIEM/EDR/XDR/PAM and firewall tooling.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor cybersecurity engineers supporting VAPT, SecOps, incident response, hardening, patching, and platform operations.
• Oversee vulnerability assessments, third-party penetration testing, remediation validation, and security monitoring.
• Review client deliverables including VAPT reports, incident reports, executive summaries, risk registers, and evidence packs.
• Ensure cybersecurity activities meet scope, timelines, SLAs and quality standards.
• Act as escalation point for critical vulnerabilities and security incidents.
• Create playbooks for incident response and conduct tabletop exercises.

We are looking for an experienced and driven Cybersecurity Manager to lead our Cybersecurity Engineering team and drive the delivery of high-impact cybersecurity services. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of critical cybersecurity capabilities, shape security strategies, and lead a talented team of engineers in protecting complex and mission-critical environments against evolving cyber threats.

In this pivotal role, you will provide technical leadership, operational oversight, and strategic direction across a broad spectrum of cybersecurity disciplines, including vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, security operations, incident response, system hardening, and patch management.

Beyond technical excellence, you will play a key role in driving service quality, strengthening client partnerships, and developing the next generation of cybersecurity talent.

Responsibilities | CORE

• Manage and mentor cybersecurity engineers responsible for supporting VAPT, SecOps, incident response, hardening, patching, and platform operations.
• Provide technical guidance and oversee delivery of vulnerability assessments, penetration testing conducted by third parties and validate remediation, support security monitoring and incident response activities.
• Review and approve client-ready deliverables including VAPT reports, incident reports, executive summaries, remediation plans, risk registers, perform log reviews, firewall rules reviews and create evidence packs.
• Ensure cybersecurity activities are delivered within agreed scope, timelines, service levels, and quality standards.
• Act as the primary escalation point for critical vulnerabilities, high-risk security findings, security incidents, and operational issues.
• Create playbooks for Incident response and conduct tabletop exercises for stakeholders.
• Work with client stakeholders, internal teams, vendors, and management to prioritise remediation, patching, hardening, and risk treatment activities.
• Drive risk-based decision-making by assessing technical findings in the context of business impact, exploitability, exposure, and operational constraints.
• Managing incident activation and response coordination, including triage, investigation, containment, eradication, recovery, reporting, and lessons learned.
• Monitor cybersecurity service KPIs such as incident response time, vulnerability closure rate, patch compliance, and platform health.
• Promote knowledge sharing, coaching, certification readiness, and continuous learning within the cybersecurity team.

• Experience working in mission-critical, regulated, government, aviation, critical infrastructure, or enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with frameworks and standards such as NIST CSF, NIST Incident Response, CIS Controls, CIS Benchmarks, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, or IEC 62443.
• Experience managing vulnerability remediation programmes and incident response activities.
• Experience reviewing VAPT reports, incident reports, hardening assessments, and security architecture recommendations.
• Hands‑on exposure to SIEM/EDR/XDR/PAM/Firewalls/IPS and asset/patch management tools.
• Sound knowledge of Operating Systems & Networking including the TCP/IP protocol stack.
• Ability to define KPIs, track service performance, and present cybersecurity posture to management and clients.
• Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, prioritisation, and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Ability to work under pressure during critical security incidents or major vulnerability disclosures.
• Strong ownership mindset with a focus on service quality, team development, and continuous improvement.

Professional and/or Technical Certifications

• CISSP/ GIAC GSEC, GCIH, GMON/ CCNP security or equivalent.
