The Assistant Business Unit Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, ensuring financial discipline, and supporting business growth through effective process improvements. This role demands a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities and an ability to work cross-functionally to enhance overall business unit performance. The role contributes significantly to cost reduction, revenue forecasting, and operational compliance.

Be Part of Our Success

1. Process Improvement & Efficiency

  • Act as the BU Continuous Improvement (CI) Champion.

  • Identify inefficiencies within existing processes and implement optimizations to improve productivity and reduce costs.

  • Lead and manage continuous improvement (CI) initiatives and projects.

  • Ensure BU CI targets are achieved consistently.

2. Budgeting & Financial Management

  • Develop accurate forecasts for business unit revenues in alignment with strategic goals.

  • Track and report key financial indicators including revenue, EBIT, Unbilled D-Report, AR aging, warranty provisions, and cost provisions.

  • Ensure timely analysis and reporting of BU financial performance to aid decision-making.

3. Operations & General Administration

  • Oversee daily workflows and administrative functions of the business unit.

  • Resolve operational challenges promptly to avoid disruptions.

  • Monitor and report on operational performance metrics.

  • Manage and support BU administrators ensuring smooth internal operations.

  • Ensure full compliance with company policies including risk management, safety, and security standards.

Qualities We Value

  • Knowledge in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance and Operations Management or equivalent

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in operations management, financial planning, or continuous improvement roles.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive change and influence cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).

  • Proficient in financial reporting and forecasting tools.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.

  • Singaporean only

  • Candidates with more experience may be considered for Senior role
