Job description

About PebbleRoad

PebbleRoad is a Singapore-based design and innovation consultancy. We envision a world where digital business transformation is not just a buzzword but a catalyst for meaningful, sustainable growth. We want to help our clients change their digital businesses for the better. We achieve this by providing them with the experience and knowledge they need to clarify their plans, develop new digital products, and enhance their skills.

Our work

We help organisations make meaningful change by helping them create strategic clarity, co-teaming with them to design and build digital products and services, and also helping them improve the health of their organisation.

We excel in 3 areas:

  1. We specialise in solving enterprise problems. This includes B2C, B2B and B2E (business to employee).
  2. We go beyond design specs and build fully functional digital products and services to test out in the real world. We believe this is the only way to manage uncertainty and help our clients gain confidence in their design investments.
  3. We don't just design and build. We also help clients with user adoption, change management, and governance.

We assign a team to each client (an engagement). Every team is cross-functional, co-located, and dedicated. The team roles include Product Owners, Product Designers, Content Strategists, UX Researchers, Full-stack Developers and Automation Engineers. These engagements may last between 3 to 18 months or more. As a Full-Stack Developer, you will be a key member of the team, contributing to the shaping of digital products and services.

A typical engagement that you will lead might go something like this:

  • Understand the context of the engagement.
  • Understand the product requirements.
  • Work closely with the team to define the product backlog and plan the development sprints.
  • Work with the Tech Lead and other developers to define quality and testing parameters.
  • Use best practices to build digital products.
  • Be proactive and participate in daily standups, product review, and quality meetings.
The role

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has 5+ years of experience in Full-stack development (hands-on project experience is mandatory)

  • Has worked with Agile methodologies
  • Has a good understanding of Rapid Application Development (RAD) best practices and implementation.
  • Has a good understanding of best practices for web application security.
  • Is proficient in data modeling and enforce proper referential integrity constraints
  • Good to have experience in no-code and low-code (e.g. Microsoft Power Apps, OutSystems, etc.) environments and their interplay with pro-code.
  • Is proficient in SQL and databases
  • Is proficient in web services
  • Knowledge and experience with Git
  • Keen to learn new technologies and low-code platforms

Your responsibilities are:

  • Work with the team to build high-quality digital products using modern stack
  • Be proactive in absorbing new knowledge and raising the standards of development.
  • Help integrate the solution into the client’s enterprise ecosystem.
  • Work with backend systems integrators to build and implement the solution.
  • Improve transformation practice at PebbleRoad
