About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental, Singapore within the Concierge Department, the Guest Services Assistant is responsible for assisting guests with luggage handling, deliveries, errands, flag duties, and lobby services to ensure smooth arrivals and departures while maintaining excellent guest service and standards. The Guest Services Assistant reports to the Chef Concierge.

Responsibilities
  • Handle guests' luggage on arrivals, departures, and storage
  • Perform internal dispatch of mails, faxes, and items
  • Collect delivered items from Security/Purchasing Department
  • Provide packing services for guests' items
  • Hoisting and lowering flags daily as necessary
  • Control the canopy lights at the driveway daily and as needed
  • Run outside errands and assist guests with transportation (e.g., clinics, shops)
  • Assist guests with luggage in the lobby
  • Open doors and assist with elevators in the lobby
Candidate requirements
  • Ability to stand for long hours
  • Warm customer service attitude and enjoyment in meeting people
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
