The National University of Singapore is seeking a dedicated individual to lead and promote community sports within the university. This role involves strategic coordination, engagement with various departments, and oversight of sports excellence programs, aimed at enhancing student wellness through sports participation.
Job Purpose :
This role which is in the Sports Section of the Office of Student Affairs seek to achieve the following:
To drive and grow community sports in NUS
To drive the promotion of student wellness through sports participation
To oversee, support and develop NUS Sports Groups
To promote sports excellence
Duties & Responsibilities
To lead, strategize and coordinate the University's efforts in promoting community sports in NUS.
To monitor and report the Section's growth in community sports.
To lead in the engagement of other NUS departments and faculties to strengthen student wellness through sports participation.
To drive and manage special fundings for community sports projects.
To develop and manage NUS Sports Groups including the NUS Students' Sports Club Management Committee.
To oversee sports excellence programmes and the University support for high performance athletes.
To engage sports groups and general student community to participate in regular sports activities.
To contribute to the development of processes and policies for NUS Sports.
Qualifications
At least 10 years of managerial experience in relevant industry. Experience and familiarity with student development through sports will be an advantage.
Excellent social skills and able to lead and guide more junior sports managers.
Strong interest in sports.
Passion and aptitude for student development and sports excellence.
Organized with strong administrative skills.
