Job Purpose:

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Data Platform Product Owner / Manager to join our team and drive BD/DA and Cloud initiatives under the ADA platform. This role plays a critical part in shaping the products and solutions within ADA, the central AI and Data Platform for DBS. The candidate will work closely with BA/DAs, data scientists, and data engineers to enhance analytics and AI/ML capabilities across both on-prem and cloud environments in multiple markets.

This role primarily focuses on empowering BA/DAs, who form the largest user group within the Data Chapter (400+ users across six markets: SG, HK, TW, IN, CN, ID), by understanding their needs, pain points, and requirements and translating them into platform capabilities.

Responsibilities:

1. ADA Solution and Capability Development for BA/DA

• Work closely with the Product Owner (PO) for BA/DA and user representatives to map their user journey across different use cases, identifying critical pain points and shaping a clear, actionable product and solution roadmap.
• Drive user engagement through workshops, brainstorming sessions, and monthly/quarterly events to enhance awareness of new releases and platform developments.
• Collaborate with the ADA team to build and enhance solutions tailored to BA/DA needs, ensuring they have seamless and efficient user journey.

2. Cloud Strategy & Implementation

• Work closely with stakeholders for GCP and AWS, with a strong focus on GCP, to drive the Cloud agenda and roadmap under ADA.
• Ensure that BA/DA users in India and Indonesia, who form the majority of the GCP user base, receive the same capabilities and solutions as their on-prem counterparts. This includes seamless integration of on-prem BA/DA solutions into GCP.
• Drive the successful launch of ADA GCP AC MVP1 in India and Indonesia by 2025. Develop and execute a strong roadmap for MVP2 and MVP3, ensuring strong user adoption and a good user experience.
• Ensure alignment between the on-prem and GCP platforms, so that BA/DAs moving to GCP have access to the same tools and analytics capabilities they rely on today.
• Work closely with local BA/DA teams in India and Indonesia to understand their cloud adoption challenges and ensure a smooth transition.

3. Solution Delivery & Execution

• Act as a translator between users and the ADA team, ensuring clear communication of business requirements and technical feasibility.
• Track deliveries and work closely with ADA tech leads and PMs to ensure timely execution.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and sprint reviews to provide feedback and track progress.
• Plan and Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Live Verification (LV) as relevent to ensure solutions meet business needs.

Requirements:

• At least 6 to 8 years of working experience, preferably in banking environments
• Ensure we are getting the optimal use of our data technology landcscape
• Advise data teams on an optimal approach for their data projects
• Lead or contribute on any of the topics related to our strategic aim of becoming a data driven organisation
• Ability to stay updated with the latest advancements in DATA, GEN AI and ML research and technologies.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex business problems and design innovative AI solutions. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
