Purpose and Scope
As a HSSE Controller, you are responsible for ensuring the implementation of WSHE Legislation, Regulations and GHSSE requirement by our contractors. Advise, carry out inspection and confirm that contractors are adhering to the required safety practices.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 manual and procedure are updated and review to the latest revision
Keep track of changes and update of HSSE related procedure or document from Group HSSE and update the HSSE team
Ensure up to date and proper recording of HSSE management system for the organization
Manage the HSSE folder with proper allocation of documents and records with restricted access
Ensuring accuracy and completeness of record through tracking of submission by respective parties
Assist and churn out ad-hoc and regular reports of management team or reporting purpose
Liaise with QA/QC team or support HSSE’s manager for document audit to ensure compliance
Support and collated evidence during Group audit through documentation and procedures
Liaise with project teams and stakeholder on meetings, management walkdown etc
Track HSSE’s personnel follow up actions and ensure proper timeline closure
Update HSSE personnel on aging observation/high risk observation for escalation through daily email notification and follow up for completeness
Facilitate in the arrangement of In-house related coursed for EPCs and conduct training
Assess the competency of the trainee and record keeping of the participants
Update HR on Safety related courses for tracking of training matrix
Conduct checks on any potential data leak through emails
Any other ad-hoc matters assigned by Management
Qualifications & Experience
WSQ Advance Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health or Certificate in Safety Coordinator Training Course
WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance or ACTA is preferred
Relevant Safety & Health Certificates, including Building Construction Safety Supervisor Certificate
Minimum 2 years of relevant document controller experience
Minimum 1 year of conducting training
Skills/competencies & Preferred Characteristics
Familiar with risk management pro
Familiar with OHSAS 18001 or ISO 14001
Familiar with MS Office application
Familiar in working with computing devices like computers and mobile phones
Possess a strong sense of responsibility towards Company and staff’s health and safety
Good communication skills
