A leading company in Singapore is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to develop purchasing strategies and manage supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in engineering or supply chain management and at least 2 years of relevant experience. You will work collaboratively with various teams to ensure production requirements are met while optimizing costs and maintaining quality standards.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and execute purchasing and material planning strategies in alignment with production schedules and inventory targets.
Issue purchase orders to suppliers based on MRP (Material Requirements Planning) data and demand forecasts.
Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure quality, cost, and delivery standards are met.
Track order status and expedite or defer deliveries as needed to align with production requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, and quality, to resolve supply chain issues.
Analyse demand trends and supply risks to anticipate and prevent potential disruptions.
Support cost reduction initiatives by identifying sourcing opportunities and negotiating with suppliers.
Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and industry regulations.
Job Requirements
Min Diploma in any Engineering discipline or Supply Chain Management or Procurement
Minimum of 2 years of experience in buyer, planner, or similar supply chain role
Preferably in Oil & Gas, Aviation, Off-shore Marine or Semi-con industry
Proficient in using Excel at least “Pivot table” level
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast pace working environment independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills, meticulous, resourceful, able to multi-task
Contract may be extended subject to work requirements
