Job description

The Job:

  1. Obtains quotations from vendors to ensure favorable quality, price, and delivery terms; researches new products and vendors.
  2. Provides data to technical staff and assists them in purchasing decisions.
  3. Expedites orders to ensure timely delivery by verifying demands and analyzing backorder reports.
  4. Interfaces with vendors, staff, and management to resolve discrepancies, answer questions, and provide guidance and training on inventory systems.
  5. Maintains data integrity of inventory systems by creating and updating item master files, monitoring overdue purchase orders and work-in-progress, researching inventory discrepancies, and verifying/updating alternate parts and standard costs.
  6. Coordinates and monitors the return of damaged goods, arranging replacements or credits, and documenting all transactions.
  7. Coordinates with overseas and local suppliers to ensure timely material delivery.
  8. Works closely with the Shipping & Warehouse Team on overseas shipment arrivals.
  9. Participates in periodic cycle count processes.
  10. Models behaviors consistent with good quality, health, safety, and environmental practices.

Requirements:

  1. This is a full-time temporary position with the potential to become permanent in 2026 based on performance.
  2. The role is on-site at Seletar Aerospace View.
  3. GCE 'N' or 'O' Level / Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma from a technical discipline or equivalent.
  4. At least 2 years of procurement and stock management experience in a manufacturing or aero engine MRO environment.
  5. Familiarity with ERP systems.
  6. Bilingual - able to communicate with local vendors in Mandarin.
  7. Working knowledge of customs clearance and logistics arrangements.
