Job description

Duties

• Functional Specification

a. Responsible for analyzing and defining detailed functional specifications based on the functional and non-functional requirements documents.

b. Collaborate with Functional Business Analysts to clarify functional and non-functional requirements.

c. Define and ensure traceability from functional specifications to business requirements.

• Technical Design

a. Responsible for creating technical design documents.

b. Ensure that technical designs adhere to architectural roadmaps, development best practices, and security requirements.

c. For vendor implementation: Ensure vendor resources create technical design documents.

d. Collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams to clarify functional specifications and technical designs during build, test, and deployment phases.

e. Work with Production Support to establish IT operations procedures and document them as part of the Tech Design.

f. Coordinate the execution of threat modeling with the Security Architect to ensure comprehensive safeguards against threats.

• Testing & Scope Management

a. Clarify test findings escalated by the Test Manager and classify them as defects or change requests.

b. Provide input for impact assessments and estimations for project change requests.

c. Work with the Test Manager to review test plans and functional test scopes.

Requirements:

1. You will typically be assigned to specific projects and are expected to support application delivery.

2. Coordinate with the Manager (ADM) on all relevant technical matters within the project.

3. Ensure your work is adequately documented and transferred to the production team post-cutover.

Essential:

• Commitment
• Minimum 3 years of experience in application testing, development, and delivery
• Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong and assertive communication skills, both speaking and writing; analytical mindset and problem-solving skills

Good to have:

• Experience working in a vendor environment
• 1-2 years of experience with banking or financial services applications (e.g., Core Banking, Loans, AML/KYC, Risk Management, Regulatory Reporting MAS610 applications)

Key Domain/Technical Skills:

• Experience with Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle SQL
• Java/JavaScript programming
• Nice to have: Batch Scripting, Control M, DevOps
• Database analysis and understanding for analysis and design purposes
• Requirement analysis and solution formulation for applications
• Collaboration with external application/user teams on end-to-end executions
